Restaurant and retail spaces for some of the most famous buildings and companies in Japan

From creating tokonoma (Japanese alcoves) to sliding doors to shoji screens, we create for you an authentic Japanese design that brings you peace and relaxation.

As Japanese people ourselves, we understand Japanese culture intimately. We have practiced commercial and residential interior design for over 30 years.

Toshio is a veteran in commercial interior design with 16 years of experience in Tokyo. His work has been featured in Japanese industry magazines. He is particularly knowledgable about restaurant operation and kitchen design, as he has designed for a major Japanese restaurant chain in the past.

After coming to the US, Toshio became more interested in Japanese traditional designs. He has developed a minimalist style based on the idea of mu, “the naked spirit” or “nothingness.” He now designs zen-inspired spaces for residences as well, hand-crafting custom bamboo fences and furniture.
