Design Kyo creates authentic Japanese-inspired interiors for homes, restaurants, retail spaces, and offices, shaped by natural materials, light, craft, and more than 30 years of experience.
Design Kyo works where you are: interior shoji fitted to colonial windows in Cambridge, a sunroom saved from winter out past 495 in Harvard, a stone garden inside Brigham and Women's Hospital, restaurants in Boston, and a tea house restored on Cape Cod. Toshio settled in Boston in 1997, and the hybrid of the two building cultures has been his work ever since.
