Many elements of a true Japanese interior cannot be bought in America — so we build them. Kitchen cabinets in the Japanese style, walk-in closets, reception counters, shelving, and the formal joinery of the tokonoma alcove: tenbukuro, jibukuro, chigai-dana.

Every piece starts as a CAD drawing for you to review, with the parts and costs specified. For traditional work, each detail is checked against the historical form before a single cut. Then Toshio builds it with his own hands — only what he is satisfied with is delivered.

The tea house on Cape Cod

At the end of the war, the American ambassador brought a formal tea house from Japan to Cape Cod. Seventy years later it stood like a ruin. We restored it — shoji windows and doors, fusuma, the mizuya shelves, the engawa veranda, jurakukabe plaster, tatami.

That restoration is the standard the workshop holds itself to: not "Japanese-style," but the real construction, done properly, piece by piece.
